BJC Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist our Family Care Pharmacy shipping warehouse location! We prefer candidates with experience and understanding of pharmacy medications.

• Monday - Friday
• 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Role Purpose

The Pharmacy Technician - Retail 1, works under the supervision of a staff pharmacist, performing clerical and support duties, entering information into the pharmacy IT system, selling prescriptions, managing inventory, and completing prescription workflow steps.

Responsibilities

1. Perform clerical duties including sending/receiving tubes & faxes, filing prescriptions, processing mail & courier prescriptions.
2. Enter customer, insurance, and prescription information; process prescription transfers.
3. Sell prescriptions using POS system, handle cash, manage payment exceptions, and reconcile cash.
4. Order and manage inventory, stock shelves, rotate stock, remove expired products, perform cycle counts, and handle returns.
5. Complete data entry, contact managers, dispense products (manual and automated), and perform basic compounding.

Minimum Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: No experience required

Licenses & Certifications: State Board Pharmacy Registration
