CVS Health is seeking a Lead Director – Software Development Engineering in Annapolis, Maryland, to lead the modernization technology strategy for Retail Pharmacy. This role requires hands-on leadership to drive digital innovation and enhance customer experiences.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of software development experience using Agile methodologies, with expertise in microservices and containerization technologies. This full-time position comes with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall Software Development experience utilizing Agile methodologies.
• 5+ years of experience in development of microservices using Python, Java (Spring Boot).
• 5+ years of experience in containerization tools and technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker.
• 3+ years of experience in cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• 1+ years of experience using Agentic AI frameworks and generative AI based web-services and tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy and creation of a multi-year modernization roadmap.
• Assess software engineering practices to improve operational efficiency.
• Guide and mentor engineering teams across various technological platforms.
• Build relationships with Business, Product, and Technology partners.
• Conduct technology research and develop long-term strategies based on trends.
