Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a pharmacy leader to direct daily operations at Nantucket Cottage Hospital. The role provides guidance to pharmacy staff, leads staff development, and ensures compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.

Onsite work with a strong focus on patient safety and department performance. The candidate should have a PharmD or pharmacy degree, a state pharmacist license, and 2-3 years of management experience in a hospital pharmacy.

Qualifications

Directs daily operations of pharmacy services. This position directs and supports pharmacy staff. Participates in determining the short and long-term goals for the department and related policies and procedures. Provides leadership and guidance to the pharmacy staff.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must have excellent verbal, written, and quantitative skills.
• Displays a comprehensive knowledge of department operations.
• Shows knowledge of the pharmacology of drugs and the legal aspects of dispensing.
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills to educate and supervise staff, normally acquired after three to five years of related hospital experience in a progressive, large health care organization and through self-directed education.
• Can work accurately and make decisions under stress and with time constraints.
• Strong attention to detail.
