Job summary

Oklahoma Children's Hospital OU Health is seeking a Pharmacy Intern PRN to support the OU Health Retail Pharmacy. The role involves assisting the pharmacist in dispensing medications, preparing IV admixtures, and ensuring accurate order entry and labeling under supervision.

The position is an entry-level training opportunity with on-the-job instruction, requiring enrollment in a college of pharmacy and an Oklahoma intern license in good standing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be enrolled and in good standing with an accredited college of pharmacy or NABPLEX path.
• Registration process or internship requirements for foreign graduates may apply.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess medication orders for interactions and compatibility.
• Provide clinical interventions through communication with physicians, nurses and professionals.
• Prepare intravenous admixtures under laminar flow hood using aseptic technique.
• Input and process discharge prescriptions and input into management software.
• Assist pharmacist on duty with operational tasks.
