Job summary

ProMedica Toledo Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support data entry, prescription fulfillment, packaging/shipping, and customer service. You will interact with patients, physicians, insurers, and patient assistance programs to ensure accurate dispensing and timely order fulfillment.

The role involves receiving, storing, and inventorying drug orders, maintaining cash drawer, and shipping completed orders to patients and prescribers. Per diem, day shifts, with varied schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician registration with Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
• May be hired with a Registered Pharmacy Technician with restrictions in duties and expectation of Certified License being obtained within 6 months of hire if working in Ohio.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) acceptable.

Job Summary

As the Pharmacy Technician, you are responsible for data entry, prescription fulfillment, packaging/shipping, customer service, and maintenance of pharmacy operations. You will talk to patients, physicians, insurance companies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and patient assistance programs over the phone. In this role, you help the pharmacist prepare and dispense medications, receive, store and inventory drug orders and supplies, maintain the cash drawer and ship completed orders to patients and prescriber offices. The above summary is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed in this role. It should not be considered exhaustive.

Schedule

4-6 hour shifts in the afternoon and evenings varied weekend rotation Holidays as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Pharmacy Technician registration or Pharmacy Intern License with Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
• May be hired with a Registered Pharmacy Technician with restrictions in duties and expectation of Certified License being obtained within 6 months of hire if working in Ohio.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (either PTCB or ExCPT (NHA) exam permitted)
