Job summary

ProMedica, based in Toledo, OH, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support data entry, prescription fulfillment, packaging, shipping, and customer service. You will interact with patients, physicians, insurers, and manufacturers by phone to ensure accurate dispensing and order fulfillment.

You will assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications, receiving and storing drug orders, and maintaining inventory and cash handling for shipments to patients and offices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician registration or Pharmacy Intern License with Ohio Board of Pharmacy. May be hired with a Registered Pharmacy Technician with restrictions in duties and expectation of Certified License being obtained within 6 months of hire if working in Ohio.
  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern License with Michigan Board of Pharmacy. May be hired with a Temporary Pharmacy Technician License (expires 1 year from receipt) with expectation of Pharmacy Technician license and/or technician certification being obtained within 6 months of hire if working in Michigan.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (either PTCB or ExCPT (NHA) exam permitted)

Responsibilities

  • Perform data entry and prescription fulfillment.
  • Package and ship pharmacy orders and maintain inventory.
  • Provide customer service to patients, physicians, insurers, manufacturers, and patient assistance programs by phone.
  • Assist pharmacist with preparing and dispensing medications and maintaining pharmacy operations.
  • Maintain cash drawer and ship completed orders to patients and prescriber offices.

Job Summary

REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
