Job summary

Banner Health in Gilbert, AZ, seeks a licensed pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care in the retail/outpatient setting, counsel patients and caregivers, and collaborate with clinicians to optimise therapy.

The role supervises pharmacy technicians, coordinates daily workflow, and ensures accurate dispensing in compliance with state and federal regulations while maintaining patient safety and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Requires pharmacy licensure in the state of practice.
• Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
• AZ Board Wallet Card required at time of hire.
• Immunization Certification within 6 months (if required).
• Must possess current BLS card.
• Strong organizational, problem solving and computer skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Fills prescriptions accurately and timely; reviews orders for safety.
• Supervises and directs pharmacy technicians and coordinates workflow.
• Counsels patients and caregivers on medications and therapy.
• Communicates with physicians, nurses and others regarding therapy.
• Oversees inventory, records, and dispensing processes.
• Ensures compliance with laws, formulary and quality standards.
