Qualifications

• PharmD or BS Pharmacy Degree is required.
• Active pharmacist licensure with the NC Board of Pharmacy or obtain before employment.
• Recent graduates may fill this role while pending licensure, with limitations.
• No prior experience required.
• Certified immunizer preferred; immunization experience may be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Receive prescriptions, interpret and review patient medication history; resolve issues with prescribers.
• Analyze patient data to provide optimal drug therapy recommendations and clinical interventions.
• Compound and dispense medications, including sterile products.
• Counsel patients and families on pharmacotherapy and medication safety.
• Direct workflow and supervise technicians, students, and volunteers on shift.
