Job summary

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, seeks a Pharmacist for a retail/community pharmacy role. You will review prescriptions, counsel patients, and provide drug information to ensure safe medication use.

In addition, you will interpret orders, address interactions/side effects, oversee pharmacy staff, and participate in medication reconciliation and IV-related operations as needed. Licensure and regulatory knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• License in good standing by the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Hospital experience or residency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions to assure accuracy, ascertain needed ingredients, and evaluate suitability.
• Dispense prescribed and non-prescription medications to patients in retail/community setting.
• Counsel patients on administration, side effects, interaction risks, and storage.
• Provide drug information, monitor patient health and progress, and supervise pharmacy staff.
