Job summary

Gundersen Health System in Hillsboro is seeking a Casual Pharmacist for our new outpatient pharmacy. This on-call role focuses on accurate dispensing, patient counseling, and collaboration with clinicians to support patient wellness.

Qualifications

  • Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Pharmacist license to practice in the state of Wisconsin.
  • Infant-Adult Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescription medications accurately and provide appropriate counseling to patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Review and interpret prescription orders to verify accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including medication histories and interactions.
  • Provide information and guidance on over-the-counter medications and health-related products.

About this role

This flexible, on-call role offers the opportunity to contribute your pharmacy expertise in a supportive, mission-driven health system. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate medication dispensing, patient counseling, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to promote patient wellness and disease prevention.
