Job summary

Gundersen Health System in Wabasha, MN seeks a Pharmacist for our Retail Pharmacy. You will dispense medications accurately, provide patient counseling, and collaborate with clinicians to ensure quality care.

The role requires a Pharmacy degree, Minnesota license, and immunization certification. You’ll maintain accurate patient records, provide counseling, support immunization services, and ensure safe medication use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Pharmacists working in outpatient pharmacy settings need immunization certification through an accredited organization or school of pharmacy (e.g. APhA, PSW).
• Pharmacist license to practice in Minnesota.
• Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning) from one of the following programs; American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and provide appropriate counseling to patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Review and interpret prescription orders to verify accuracy and appropriateness.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including medication histories and interactions.
• Provide information and guidance on over-the-counter medications and health-related products.

Casual position. Hours based on availability and organizational need within retail hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.).
