This role involves providing customer service, performing repairs and maintenance on petroleum equipment, and working on a rotating on-call schedule. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in the retail petroleum field and be familiar with various product lines like Wayne and Verifone. Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience as a Service Technician in the retail petroleum field.
• Experience with 2 or more retail petroleum product lines.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain dispensers, turbines, and UST monitoring equipment.
• Respond to service calls including emergency responses.
• Track inventory on the company vehicle.
• Repair and maintain dispensers, turbines, UST tank top equipment, UST monitoring equipment, and dispenser calibration.
• Track inventory on the company vehicle to ensure that you have all the equipment you need to help our clients.
• Assist in managing client expectations through correct judgments, sound decisions, and technical knowledge.
• Following up with clients to make sure they are taken care of.
• Keep up to date on new equipment launches and industry compliance, and participate in ongoing training.
• Work with a sense of urgency to make sure clients are operational and to minimize unbillable time.

PumpTex, Inc is seeking an Experienced Retail Petroleum Service Technician to provide excellent customer service, repairs, and maintenance to the gas stations we serve in the East Houston area and drive our business by keeping our clients happy. We are looking for someone with a talent for troubleshooting petroleum equipment systems and interested in a long-term career in customer service.

Our Petroleum Technicians earn a competitive wage based on experience as well as participate in our quarterly incentive bonus plan. PRIMARY EXPECTATIONS

• Communicate respectfully in person and over the phone with our clients and team members
• Respond to a variety of service calls (including emergency response and after hours when on‑call)
• Participate in a required rotating on‑call schedule (1 week of on‑call every 5 weeks)
• Repair and maintain dispensers, turbines, UST tank top equipment, UST monitoring equipment, and dispenser calibration
• Track inventory on the company vehicle to ensure that you have all the equipment you need to help our clients
• Assist in managing client expectations through correct judgments, sound decisions, and technical knowledge
• Following up with clients to make sure they are taken care of
• Keep up to date on new equipment launches and industry compliance, and participate in ongoing training
• Work with a sense of urgency to make sure clients are operational and to minimize unbillable time

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must live in the service area or surrounding areas
• At least 5 years of experience as a Service Technician in the retail petroleum field
• Experience with 2 or more retail petroleum product lines (such as Wayne, Verifone, Gilbarco, Passport); current or previous certification is preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record

WORK SCHEDULE

Our Technicians typically work Monday‑Friday, 8am‑5pm, opportunities for overtime, on‑call rotation.
