GENERAL FUNCTION:

Selected candidates will undergo a 4-8 week onboarding and education program, including rotations in operations and Sales & Service. Upon completion, candidates will be certified to perform in the Retail Personal Banker role. This position focuses on using consultative sales to identify and meet customer financial needs, acquiring new households, and deepening existing relationships through various activities, including lobby leadership or aisle time and tele-consulting. The role involves processing teller transactions and working as part of the platform staff.

The role emphasizes risk management, ethical conduct, and delivering a positive customer experience while operating within the bank's risk appetite.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build customer profiles and identify financial needs using the consultative sales process.
  • Maintain knowledge of retail products/services and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for financial reviews.
  • Focus on cross-selling and outside sales activities, including community events.
  • Establish relationships with Business Partners and refer customers accordingly.
  • Meet or exceed customer experience and sales goals, contributing to revenue growth.
  • Guide CSRs in sales and referral processes.
  • Promote customer satisfaction with professionalism and friendliness.
  • Respond confidently to customer questions and own customer issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
  • Follow policies and procedures in opening and servicing retail products.
  • Participate in loan and bankcard processes from application to closing.
  • Assist in opening/closing the Financial Center or Bank Mart as directed.
  • Stay updated on procedures to prevent fraud and manage risks.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • College degree, work experience, or a combination thereof.
  • Preferred experience in the financial industry.
  • Ability to develop comfort with sales activities and cross-selling.
  • Understanding of advanced math for credit and financial analysis.
  • Professional appearance and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of retail policies and sound judgment in decision-making.
  • S.A.F.E. Act registration via NMLS is required at employment.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Standard office environment.
  • Extended viewing of computer screens.
  • Travel within the affiliate for training and scheduling flexibility.
  • Travel outside the affiliate for classroom training sessions.
