Maverik Inc. is seeking a People Business Partner to act as a strategic and operational partner for the Retail Operations team, strengthening engagement, morale, and retention while guiding leaders in HR practices and compliance.

The role supports leadership development, change management, and data-informed decision-making to create lasting impact across our stores. The position is based at our corporate office in Salt Lake City, UT, with travel up to ~40% across the region.

Qualifications

• This role requires 3+ years of progressive Human Resources, Business Partner, and Employee relations experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Experience with HRIS systems, preferably UKG.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic and operational partner to Retail Operations, enhancing relationships, morale and retention.
• Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues; approve disciplinary actions; conduct investigations.
• Interpret HR policies and ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Collaborate with leaders to translate business needs into effective HR practices and solutions.
• Support store leaders with benefits administration, FMLA, LOA, and ADA compliance.
• Contribute to change-management strategies for sustainable business results.
• Identify opportunities for leadership development and training; analyze HR data to inform decisions.
