Overview

At Office Depot Inc., the Retail Team Lead is a part-time role providing “total solutions” to our customers encompassing Products, Technology, Services, Furniture, and Print offerings. The Retail Team Lead will build and maintain customer relationships, becoming a trusted advisor through provided training. The Retail Team Lead demonstrates passion for the brand, technology products, furniture, print, and other services. They will proactively engage customers using Office Depot’s sales principles to drive sales and assess customer needs for satisfaction.

Through enthusiasm and expertise, the Retail Team Lead helps create a vibrant sales culture, enhances store standards, manages freight and logistics, and prioritizes client satisfaction. They may serve as a ‘Key Carrier’ and perform Leader on Duty functions, including opening and closing responsibilities, and ensuring safety and security of the store and staff. The role may also involve cash handling, merchandise management, and loss prevention tasks.

Responsibilities

• Print Sales and Services: Support print operations, operate equipment, assist associates, and coordinate customer service within Print Services.
• Operational Efficiency: Process merchandise, adhere to procedures, improve processes, and support loss prevention efforts.
• Client Engagement: Enhance customer satisfaction, support community outreach, develop selling skills, and deliver total solutions.
• External Key Carrier and Leader on Duty: Ensure safety, security, and store operations during absence of management, including opening/closing and cash handling duties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of related experience, with sales/customer service preferred.
• Basic computer skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt, process information through POS, and attention to detail in print services.
• Passion for the brand and products, action-oriented, and trustworthy.

Additional Information
