Overview

At Office Depot Inc., the Retail Team Lead is a part-time role providing “total solutions” to our customers encompassing Products, Technology, Services, Furniture and Print offerings. The Retail Team Lead will quickly build and maintain customer relationships and become a trusted advisor by utilizing provided training to support sales offerings. The Team Lead will support a customer-centric environment, engagement with the local community, all while contributing to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values of Customer, Commitment, Change, Caring, and Creativity. The Retail Team Lead will demonstrate a passion for the brand, technology products, furniture, print, and other services/products offered to our customers. Retail Team Lead (PT) will utilize Office Depot Inc.’s proven sales principles to proactively engage customers, to drive the sales of our total offerings, and properly assess customer needs to ensure satisfaction in every interaction.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Print Sales and Services:
   1. Support efficient operation and drive store sales in Print services.
   2. Operate and assist with all equipment within Print Services to ensure correct and timely order completion.
   3. Use communication tools effectively to coordinate services and assist customers.
2. Operational Efficiency:
   1. Process merchandise accurately, adhering to procedures and visual standards.
   2. Identify and implement process improvements, support loss prevention, and ensure compliance.
   3. Contribute to sales and profitability through conversion, AOV, and customer satisfaction initiatives.
3. Client Engagement:
   1. Enhance customer satisfaction and support community outreach.
   2. Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge.
   3. Perform other duties as assigned.
4. External Key Carrier and Leader on Duty:
   1. Ensure safety during management absence.
   2. Perform opening/closing responsibilities, including security and cash handling.
   3. Assist in store operations and performance reviews.
   4. Perform other duties as necessary.

Education And Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of related experience.
• Sales and/or Customer Service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use technology.
• Experience in Customer Service and Print Services preferred.
• Strong selling, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Adaptability, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Passion for the brand and continuous personal development.
