Overview

At Office Depot Inc., the Retail Team Lead is a part-time role providing “total solutions” to our customers encompassing Products, Technology, Services, Furniture and Print offerings. The Retail Team Lead will build and maintain customer relationships, becoming a trusted advisor through provided training to support sales. This role supports a customer-centric environment, engages with the local community, and contributes to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values: Customer, Commitment, Change, Caring, and Creativity. The Retail Team Lead demonstrates a passion for our brand, technology products, furniture, print, and other offerings. They will utilize Office Depot Inc.’s sales principles to proactively engage customers, drive sales, and assess customer needs to ensure satisfaction.

Additional Responsibilities

• Help create and nurture a vibrant sales culture, enhance store visual standards, and support logistics activities.
• Serve as a part-time ‘Key Carrier’ and perform Leader on Duty functions, including opening & closing responsibilities.
• Ensure safety and security of the store and staff during management absences, and assist in cash handling and audit procedures.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of related experience, with sales and customer service preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and selling skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and demonstrate professionalism.

Compensation & Benefits
