Overview

At Office Depot Inc., the Retail Team Lead is a part-time role providing “total solutions” to our customers encompassing Products, Technology, Services, Furniture, and Print offerings. The Retail Team Lead will build and maintain customer relationships, becoming a trusted advisor through provided training. They will support a customer-centric environment, engage with the local community, and contribute to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values: Customer, Commitment, Change, Caring, and Creativity. The Retail Team Lead will demonstrate passion for the brand, technology products, furniture, print, and other services/products offered. They will proactively engage customers using Office Depot Inc.’s sales principles to drive sales and assess customer needs to ensure satisfaction.

The role involves creating a vibrant sales culture, maintaining store standards, managing freight and logistics, and prioritizing client satisfaction. The Retail Team Lead may also serve as a ‘Key Carrier’ and perform Leader on Duty functions, including opening and closing the store, and ensuring safety and security.

Primary Responsibilities

• Print Sales and Services: Support efficient operation, drive store sales, operate and assist with print equipment, and coordinate customer service within the store.
• Operational Efficiency: Process merchandise accurately, identify process improvements, support loss prevention, and contribute to sales and profitability initiatives.
• Client Engagement: Enhance customer satisfaction, support community outreach, develop personal selling skills, and deliver total solutions.
• External Key Carrier and Leader on Duty: Ensure safety, perform opening/closing duties, manage store security systems, and assist with cash handling and audits as needed.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of related experience, sales, or customer service preferred.
• Basic computer skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to adapt to change.
• Experience in print services and advanced selling skills are desirable.

Additional Information
