Overview

As a Part Time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, your role is vital to our success in the retail landscape. You will engage with customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, creating a positive shopping experience while driving sales.

As a Store Associate, you will actively connect with customers, addressing their needs by recommending products, services, and solutions to enhance their experience. You will help create a vibrant sales culture, maintain store appearance, and support logistics activities, all while prioritizing customer satisfaction. You will also be trained in technology and print products/services to assist customers effectively and apply sales principles to foster growth.

The role is essential in driving store success through sales and service excellence in Print and Technology. The ideal candidate should be passionate about sales, service, and operational excellence.

The position may require periodic background checks.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Customer Experience:

• Engage proactively with every customer.
• Promote sales of solutions and additional products/services.
• Be aware of promotions, sales, and loyalty programs.

Store Operations:

• Maintain store appearance and organization.
• Follow signage, labeling, and stocking guidelines.
• Manage freight and inventory levels.

Print and Tech Knowledge:

• Develop product knowledge through training and certifications.

Sales Techniques:

• Follow company policies and support loss prevention.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No experience required.
• Basic computer skills and good communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to read, count, and write accurately.
