Overview

As a Part Time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, your role is vital to our success. You'll engage with customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, creating a positive shopping experience while driving sales.

As a Store Associate, you will actively connect with customers, addressing their needs by recommending products, services, and solutions. You will help create and nurture a vibrant sales culture, maintain visual and merchandising standards, and support freight and logistics activities. Supporting a customer-centric environment and engaging with the local community are key, all while contributing to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values: Customer, Commitment, Change, Caring, and Creativity. You will be trained in technology and print products/services to assist customers effectively, applying sales principles to foster satisfying interactions and grow our business.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Customer Centric Experience:
   1. Support a positive customer experience by proactively engaging every customer.
   2. Utilize and understand the selling program to promote solutions and additional products/services.
   3. Be aware of advertisements, promotions, sales, and loyalty programs.
2. Store Operations Commitment:
   1. Maintain store and print department appearance per guidelines.
   2. Adhere to signage, labeling, and merchandise presentation standards.
   3. Follow sorting, stocking, and freight processes, keeping areas organized.
   4. Investigate and fill inventory lows daily.
3. Print and Tech Expertise:
   1. Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through training, including certifications if required.
4. Sales Techniques:
   1. Ensure compliance with policies and support loss prevention.
   2. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No prior experience required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use technology.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read, count, and write for documentation and inventory.
