Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods in Tulsa, OK is hiring an Outdoor Associate for our House of Sport concept. You will deliver thoughtful product recommendations and elevate customer service to help athletes in fishing, camping, and hiking pursue their goals.

You will maintain merchandise presentation, support store operations, and guide customers on equipment use and care, while upholding company standards and loss prevention. A high school diploma and retail experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years experience; prior retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive the highest level of customer service within our Outdoor department while engaging in behaviors that align with the company's service and selling standards.
• Bring to life the power of opinion by ensuring the explorer experience includes product experts with consultative advice and strong product knowledge.
• Uphold standards for merchandise presentation, showcasing best apparel and equipment brands by following floor sets, signing requirements, price changes, replenishment and recovery processes, in-stock, etc.
• Guide and educate athletes through their purchase by communicating information on use and maintenance of equipment and accessories.
• Communicate information to teammates regarding Company initiatives, programs, promotions, etc.
• Maintain Company loss prevention standards.

OVERVIEW:

At House of Sport the Outdoor Associate will be expected to provide thoughtful product recommendations that fit the skill/experience level of each athlete. As the Outdoor Associate must deliver an elevated customer service experience that will build meaningful relationships with athletes within the great outdoors, fishing, camping, hiking, etc..... Additional responsibilities will also include driving results, ensuring Company standards, and assisting with storewide operations as needed.

Customer Service & Sales:

• Responsible for driving the highest level of customer service within our Outdoor department while engaging in behaviors that are in-line with company's service and selling standards
