Job summary

Miss A is seeking a Retail Operations Specialist to join our Dallas HQ. You’ll be the first point of contact for District/Store Managers, supporting the VP of Retail Operations in coordinating tasks across store leadership, scheduling, and various projects.

The role requires 5 years of retail leadership experience, a relevant degree (preferred), and strong MS Office skills. This is a full-time in-office position with travel to store locations as needed.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience leading and growing a retail business with strategy and operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in visual merchandising/related field preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel and PowerPoint used daily.
• Excellent communication, time management and prioritization skills.
• Willingness to travel to all store locations.

• Manage employee schedules and handle multiple schedules simultaneously.
• Adjust schedules, report discrepancies to HR and leadership.
• Oversee retail payroll and PTO/sick time reporting to HR.
• Support store operations including restocking, merchandising, cashier and cleaning.
• Collaborate to develop end-to-end strategy and daily retail execution.
• Maintain up-to-date directory of all Miss A locations and lead the Retail team.

Job description

We are looking for a bright, organized, and detail-oriented individual to work as our Retail Operations Specialist to join our rapidly expanding team at our Headquarters office in Dallas, Texas! As a Retail Operations Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for District/Store Managers, assisting the VP of Retail Operations in communicating and coordinating various tasks with Miss A store leadership including traveling to all store locations, scheduling work hours, and various operational projects. The ideal candidate is an organized, detail-oriented individual with the ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize projects.

Responsibilities

• Assists VP of Retail Operations in decision making and strategic planning for all Miss A retail locations.
• Manage employee schedules & handle multiple schedules simultaneously.
• Adjust schedules as needed, report any special requests or discrepancies to the appropriate parties.
• Manage retail payroll; compiling all pto, sick time, etc. and ensure it’s listed correctly on the payroll report and submit to HR.
• Assist with all retail store operations including restocking, merchandising, cashier, cleaning, and setting up new stores.

• Lead and manage end-to-end strategy development and day-to-day retail operational execution.
• Maintain an up to date and accurate directory of information for all Miss A retail locations
• Provide leadership to the Retail team, build capabilities and support them in their development while nurturing a collaborative and dynamic culture
• Drive and implement the business plan for area of responsibility to achieve goals and implement operational improvements; forecast, workload, and performance results to meet business demands for workload and performance results for area of responsibility.
• Identify opportunities to innovate and improve, providing additional benefits to the customer

• Collaborate with the retail operations department on specialized projects, to devise plans of action to address various issues or circumstances.
• Ensure that store leadership adheres to human resources processes and partner with HR department on specialized circumstances.
• Source, price, and coordinate various maintenance projects for all retail locations while adhering to budget.
• Attend regular store visits with Operations and Merchandising teams to assess store condition and operational efficiency. Collaborate with appropriate departments to devise plans of action to address various issues if needed.

Requirements

• 5 years’ experience leading and growing a successful retail business with experience in both strategy development and operational execution.
• Bachelor’s degree in visual merchandising/related filed (preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email, google docs, etc.
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Ability to articulate a strong vision, inspire, and influence others in achieving this vision.
• Must have exceptional time management skills, detail oriented, and must be able to effectively prioritize and multitask.
• Must possess strong business sense and demonstrated ability to use good judgment to identify and solve problems and lead an organization through change.
• Must be able to travel to all store locations.
