Position: Retail Operations Manager

The Retail Operations Manager oversees the efficient operation of a Retail Store, Boutique, or Attended Donation Center (ADC). Responsibilities include leading the team to meet goals for sales, production, customer service, payroll, safety, and expense control. The manager collaborates closely with the Site Manager to achieve standards and objectives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Perform manager on duty activities as assigned, including opening/closing, managing cash register operations, and training Ambassadors to meet goals while adhering to SOPs.
2. Provide excellent service by engaging with Ambassadors, customers, and donors, and promote our Mission and RISE Values (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence).
3. Maintain a safe work environment by following established safety policies and procedures.
4. Train and coach Ambassadors on de-escalation and loss prevention procedures.
5. Identify and communicate concerns to the District Manager when necessary.
6. Supervise staff, including training, scheduling, performance appraisals, and addressing issues, under the guidance of the Site Manager.
7. Monitor store standards including salesfloor, safety, equipment, and cleanliness.
8. Train and evaluate Ambassadors in processing donations, ecommerce items, and maintaining backroom compliance.
9. Work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and at nearby locations as needed.

Education & Experience

1. 1-3 years supervisory experience in a customer-focused management role.
2. High school diploma or GED required; college degree helpful.
3. Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Outlook, and electronic platforms.
4. Strong communication, training, and people skills.
5. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
6. Ability to handle confidential information and multi-task effectively.
7. Punctuality and dependability are essential.
8. Must pass background and drug screening.
