Job summary

Christ Fellowship Church is seeking a Retail Operations Manager to shepherd multi-campus hospitality initiatives, lead volunteer teams, and elevate our cafe and online bookstore experiences. You will drive inventory, merchandising, and menu development while ensuring financial integrity and strong guest service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in retail management or supervisory roles.
• ServeSafe certification or similar food safety credential preferred.
• Experience managing volunteers and hospitality operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop volunteer teams across campus and events.
• Oversee cafe, bookstore, and online retail experiences for guests and members.
• Strategize menus, merchandise, and inventory to maximize guest satisfaction and stock accuracy.
• Monitor daily sales, cash handling, and reporting; collaborate with Finance on margins.
• Ensure health, safety, and equipment standards in partnership with Facilities.

As the Retail Operations Manager at Christ Fellowship Church, you will champion the multi-campus vision for exceptional hospitality. You will lead and elevate our cafe operations across all church locations, creating welcoming environments where people connect over great coffee and food. In this leadership role, you will build robust volunteer teams, streamline retail operations, and drive financial and operational excellence that supports our church’s vision.

JOB DUTIES:

• Lead & Multiply Volunteers: Recruit, schedule, and disciple a dedicated volunteer team. Cultivate an environment rooted in relationship, spiritual growth, and professional development across barista craft and hospitality.
• Elevate Campus & Digital Retail Experiences: Drive operational excellence for weekend services, special events, and mid-week gathering spaces. Oversee the online bookstore, managing special promotions, sales initiatives, and custom orders to ensure a seamless guest experience online and offline.
• Strategize Menus, Merchandise & Inventory: Lead product development, researching and continually innovating food/beverage menus, bookstore inventory, and retail supplies. Oversee inventory systems to maintain high accuracy and optimal stock levels.
• Drive Financial Integrity & Analytics: Manage daily sales reporting, cash handling, and bank deposits. Partner with Finance to track profitability, analyze sales trends, monitor cost of goods, and optimize retail margins.
• Maintain Health, Safety & Equipment Standards: Ensure compliance with all local health regulations, food safety protocols, and operational procedures. Coordinate directly with Facilities to manage equipment maintenance, service repairs, and preventive care.
