The ROM will oversee a specific segment of clients and/or retailers within an assigned geography. Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain high-performing teams and proactively ensure client KPIs are executed consistently by addressing retail issues on an ongoing basis. Oversee effective and efficient retail routing and approve all related routing decisions for an assigned region.
  2. Develop people through training and organizational initiatives using performance management tools, including performance reviews, in-store assessments, individual development plans, and succession planning documentation.
  3. Source and identify external talent and integrate new associates into the organization as part of a long-term talent expansion strategy.
  4. Manage, assist, and/or develop expense and/or revenue/operating income budgets based on responsible channels of trade and client responsibilities.
  5. Grow the base business and add new business.
  6. Travel and driving are essential duties and functions of this job.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience; Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business Management or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of retail experience with associate management.
  • 1-3 years of managing Retail Merchandisers, P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and managing client expectations.
  • Customer and client management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop people.

Position Summary

The Retail Operations Manager is primarily responsible for leading and developing an assigned Retail Selling and Merchandising organization. The ROM will oversee specific segments of clients and/or retailers within an assigned geography. They are responsible for representing the Company and their designated Clients & Customers through the management of retail store coverage, set/project coverage, and executing objectives set forth by Clients, Retailers, and/or Business Development Managers and related retail leadership.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Operational Excellence: Maintain high-performing teams and proactively ensure client KPI’s are executed consistently by addressing retail issues on an ongoing basis. Oversee effective and efficient retail routing and approve all related routing decisions for an assigned region.
  2. Associate Performance Management: Develop people through training and organizational initiatives using performance management tools, including performance reviews, in-store assessments, individual development plans, and succession planning documentation. Source and identify external talent and integrate new associates into the organization as part of a long-term talent expansion strategy.
  3. Communication/Change Management: Maintain proactive and professional communications across multiple internal and external stakeholders; lead change across responsible retail organization to ensure client and company KPIs are met.
  4. Retail Reporting: Maintain knowledge of company systems including all reporting functions. Interpret retail data and offer actionable insights to meet performance expectations.
  5. Budgeting: Manage, assist, and/or develop expense and revenue/operating income budgets for the area of responsibility based on responsible channels of trade and client responsibilities.
  6. Strategic Leadership: Outline and implement national policies and programs, promote the Company’s Strategic Direction, and ensure compliance.
  7. Business Development: Grow existing business and pursue new opportunities.
  8. Organizational Development: Oversee efforts to increase effectiveness and efficiency to achieve strategic goals.
  9. Client/Retailer Partnership Management: Build and maintain partnerships, manage ongoing client goals, seek additional business from existing clients, and pursue new client representation.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Direct Reports: Hires, trains, coaches, and develops direct reports.
  • Indirect Reports: Delegates work and provides guidance and mentoring.
Travel and/or Driving Requirements

Travel up to 80% is essential.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of retail experience with associate management.

Environmental & Physical Requirements
