Job summary

Elder's ACE Hardware in Knoxville, TN is seeking a retail associate to support daily store operations and customer service. You will unload trucks, stock displays, handle special orders, and help maintain pricing and promotions while following store priorities.

Candidates should have 6 months to 1 year of retail experience, be proficient with computer systems, and able to analyze data and maintain accurate records. Bilingual Spanish skills and a valid driver's license are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year of retail experience.
• Technically proficient in computer systems and related software.
• Gather and analyze data and maintain accurate records.
• Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise as arranged by management.
• Execute the daily operational day‑to‑day goals and priorities assigned by the store manager with an "Ace Pace".
• Remove promotional bin tags from displays and price tags as required.
• Restock merchandise displays as needed, watching end caps and side wings.
• Handle special orders for all non‑stock items.
• Never tell a customer no without checking with a manager.
• Watch for shoplifters and act in line with Elder’s policy to discourage shoplifting.
• Provide excellent customer service and interaction to help prevent shoplifting.
• Respond to radio requests.
• Other duties as assigned.
