Haverty Furniture Companies, Inc is seeking an Office Assistant for our Asheville, NC stores. You will support sales, handle payments, answer phones, and help schedule deliveries while delivering outstanding customer service.

This role offers a starting pay of $17.50 per hour, Monday-Friday with occasional weekends, comprehensive training, daily pay option, and a robust benefits package including 401K match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• 1–3 years of cash handling experience.
• Strong math, communication and customer service skills.
• Highly organized with ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Balance cash fund each morning and evening.
• Complete opening and closing procedure checklists.
• Prepare and reconcile bank deposits.
• Process customer sales and payments accurately.
• Answer phones and manage store voicemail.
• Schedule deliveries and verify orders.
• Handle customer complaints and service tickets.
• Maintain an organized, secure office environment.
• Review outstanding customer transactions.
