Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Macclenny, FL to join our store leadership team and drive merchandising and freight processing with the Store Manager. You will help supervise a dynamic team and ensure a positive guest experience.

Responsibilities include opening/closing duties, asset protection, maintaining store standards, processing directives, and planning monthly sales initiatives, all while fostering a safe, energetic work environment for employees and customers.

Qualifications

• Prior retail management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Keep the store clean and presentable, including bathrooms.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards.
• Stock merchandise including frozen & refrigerated.
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan and maintain clip strips and power panels.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
