Job summary

Affinity Group is seeking a Retail Merchandiser to bring client products to grocery shelves and manage in-store merchandising. You’ll work in an independent role, requiring solid communication and self-motivation, while we train you on our systems and processes.

You will travel to stores, execute planograms, manage shelf space, and ensure compliance with promotions and pricing. A strong emphasis on day-to-day independence and results-driven performance is key.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Travel to retail locations to merchandise brands on store shelves.
• Execute Plan-O-Gram layouts and manage shelf space.
• Ensure promotional, pricing, and new item placement compliance.
• Place weekly orders to maintain stock and maximize store sales.
• Provide store visit recaps and follow-ups with clients.
• Develop and implement merchandising directives and training as needed.
• Build strong relationships with store staff and managers.
• Monitor and report competitor activity at store level.

Retail Merchandiser Position Summary:

Our Retail Merchandisers are professional ambassadors. They help bring our client’s food to grocery store shelves. In this role you will learn about those products, our customers and how we bring them together achieving sales growth and flawless execution of a merchandising plan. You will do all this in an independent role that requires solid communication skills and self-motivation; we’ll teach you the rest!

Essential Functions:

• Travel to retail locations
• Effectively merchandise our brands products through:
• Plan-O-Gram execution
• Shelf space management
• Promotional, pricing, and new item placement compliance
• Place weekly orders to keep our products filled and maximize store sales.
• Store visit recaps and follow-ups
• Develop, support, train, and implement merchandising directives
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the departments staff and store managers.
• Provide on-going feedback of store level performance
• Monitor and report competitor activity at store level
• Manage the effective integration and utilization of Affinity technology systems and platforms
• Additional duties as assigned

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

• Ability to lift 30lbs to shoulder height unassisted
• Floor stock rotations of refrigerated and frozen food items in cooler and freezer cases.
• Inspection and moving of product in cooler and freezer and storage areas
• Reliable transportation for daily visits to store/venue locations
