Job summary

Staples, Inc. in Heath, OH is seeking Merchandising & Inventory Supervisors to lead inventory controls, execute weekly planograms, unload trucks, stock shelves and ensure accurate product presentation.

Qualifications

• Experience managing and coaching a team and/or supervising others.
• Clear understanding of merchandising and retail operations.
• Ability to engage customers and understand their needs.
• Strong multitasking with minimal supervision, prioritizing tasks.
• Able to lift, push or pull materials in the 100-pound range and stand/walk long hours.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate and efficient inventory controls: Zero Balance, RTV, Returns to Warehouse, Cross Channel Returns, Reserve online pickup in store.
• Execute all product activities including truck unloading, sorting, stocking, and stock level maintenance.
• Implement Weekly Planograms and seasonal promo merchandising changes.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and engage customers with solutions.
• Maintain a neat, inviting store environment and perform front-end duties when needed.
• Provide store leadership when scheduled as Manager on Duty and adapt to other duties.

Play a central role in helping your store, your people and your customers win.

Essential skills and experience:

• Able to work a flexible schedule based on the store’s needs




• Has a clear understanding of merchandising and retail operations




• Experience managing and coaching a team and/or supervising others




• Must be able to engage and speak to customers and understand their needs




• Ability to handle many priorities and to multitask effectively with limited or no supervision




• Ability to lift, push or pull materials in the 100-pound range, climb ladders, stand and walk continuously
