Job summary

Imperial (IDI) is seeking a Retail Merchandiser to support supermarket partners by keeping inline categories stocked and visually appealing. You will build in-store relationships, manage inventory, and address basic store issues across assigned locations, while contributing to profitable sales.

The role emphasizes strong communication, independence, and a daytime schedule, with travel to Derby CT and Branford CT. Scheduling is Mon-Fri, with a commission-based pay option available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior retail/grocery/merchandising experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills – login/password basics.
• Knowledge of merchandising or health/beauty care products preferred.
• Ability to read/write short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to present information in one-on-one or small groups.
• Basic arithmetic: add/subtract two-digit numbers; multiply/divide by 10s and 100s.
• Ability to work with money, weight, volume, and distance units.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Make regularly scheduled store visits.
• Ensure inline General Merchandise categories are well stocked and maintained.
• Place and maintain displays (promotions, new items).
• Build relationships with store managers and employees.
• Maintain shelf conditions; keep sections tidy and debris-free.
• Tag and price compliance.
• Reorder products serviced.
• Maintain inventory for inline sections and cross merchandise.
• Prepare and submit weekly service reports via tablet.
• Manage back stock and ensure product is moved to shelf.
• Ensure planogram compliance at shelf.
• Other duties as assigned.
