Job summary

Imperial Distributors, Inc. is seeking a Retail Merchandiser to support supermarket partners with well-stocked, organized inline categories and attractive displays. You will drive sales by building in-store relationships, maintaining inventory, and addressing basic store issues.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. The role offers daytime hours with a commission-based pay option and a schedule centered in Franklin, MA.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Visit stores as scheduled in Franklin, MA.
• Ensure inline General Merchandise categories are stocked and maintained.
• Set up and maintain promotional and sales displays; manage planograms.
• Build relationships with store managers and employees; provide unique in-store support.
• Maintain shelf conditions and ensure price and tag accuracy.
• Reorder serviced products and manage back stock for shelf availability.
• Prepare weekly service reports via tablet and submit on time.

As a Retail Merchandiser, you play a key role in supporting supermarket partners by ensuring well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing in-line categories, seasonal displays, and promotional sections. This position is focused on helping customers drive profitable sales while representing IDI through strong in-store relationships. Responsibilities include generating sales orders, stocking shelves, maintaining inventory levels, and addressing basic store-level issues across one or more assigned locations.

• Make regularly scheduled store visits
• Ensure inline General Merchandise categories are well stocked and maintained
• Place/Maintain displays (set up promotional and sales displays, introduction and cut-in of new items)
• Build relationship with store managers and employees
• Maintain shelf conditions by keeping sections blocked and free of debris
• Tag/price compliance
• Reorder products that you service
• Maintain inventory levels for inline sections, power panels, clip strips, and cross merchandise
• Prepare and complete weekly service reports for timely submission via tablet
• Manage back stock ensuring product is worked to shelf
• Ensure planogram compliance at shelf
• Other duties as assigned

Schedule:

Monday: Franklin MA

Thursday: Franklin MA

This role qualifies for a commission-based pay option. The hourly base pay would be between $15.75-$20.00 depending on experience plus commission of up to $3.36 more per hour based on weekly sales.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior experience in retail, grocery, food service, or merchandising is preferred.
• Basic computer skills – requiring able to use a log in and password and follow simple instructions.
• Knowledge of product and/or experience with merchandising general merchandise or health and beauty care products preferred.
• Ability to read and write short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
