Job summary

Team Modern is seeking a Retail Merchandiser to travel within the Somerset, Kentucky area, performing store resets, planograms, and shelf maintenance at convenience stores. You will interact with store staff to deliver accurate, timely merchandising and reporting using tablets and mobile devices.

This full-time, non-exempt role requires lifting up to 70 lbs, occasional truck driving, and about 60 overnight stays per year. Competitive hourly pay and solid benefits accompany the position.

Responsibilities

• Perform store resets and implement planograms across multiple product categories.

• Maintain professional communication with store managers and staff to deliver courteous service.

What You’ll Do

As a Retail Merchandiser, you will be responsible for:

• Store Resets & Planograms: Completing convenience store resets and implementing manufacturer planograms across product categories such as tobacco, candy, snacks, beverages, coolers, automotive, and health & beauty aids.
• Execution & Compliance: Ensuring shelves are properly tagged, stocked, rotated, and signed according to company and customer requirements.
• Travel & Scheduling: Traveling daily within the coverage area, with approximately 60 overnight stays (company-paid) annually to complete chain and independent store resets.
• Customer Interaction: Maintaining professional communication with store managers and staff to deliver reliable, courteous service.
• Team Collaboration: Working alongside Merchandising Team Members and Merchandising Manager ensure high-quality outcomes with enthusiasm and Optimistic Energy.
• Safety & Technology: Safely lifting, moving, and positioning merchandise and fixtures (up to 70 lbs) and utilizing tablets and mobile devices for reporting and job documentation.
• Other Duties: Driving a small commercial truck a few times per year (DOT Medical Card required; company-paid), and completing additional tasks as assigned.

Status: Full-Time Non-Exempt

Shift: Monday–Friday

Hours: Typically 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (flexibility required as business needs dictate)

Travel: Approximately 60 overnight stays per year required for store resets (company-paid).

Work Environment

Work takes place primarily at customer store locations, requiring daily travel and approximately 60 overnight stays per year. Tasks involve significant physical activity, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Occasional presence at our corporate office in Somerset, Kentucky, will also be required.
