Job summary

Winston Retail is seeking a Retail Merchandiser to work on a project-based, independent contractor basis. You will be in stores to replenish inventory, ensure attractive presentation, and align with brand standards.

The role requires hands-on merchandising, planogram execution, and timely reporting using the Winston App on a smartphone. You must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and work flexible hours, Monday through Friday with weekends optional.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail merchandising or related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with planograms and visual directives is essential.
• Attention to detail and creativity in presenting apparel and hardline merchandise.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement merchandising strategies across stores.
• Execute planograms to optimize product placement.
• Communicate merchandising needs with store teams.
• Manage schedules and ensure deadlines for store visits.
• Submit visit reports via Winston App with before/after photos.
• Report using mobile devices (iPhone 11+ or newer; Android 2020+).
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand during shifts.

Job Overview

Winston Retail is seeking a passionate, detail-driven merchandiser. You'll play a key role in ensuring the sales floor is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing. You will be working hands-on in stores to replenish inventory, maintain product presentation standards, and help create a seamless and engaging shopping experience that reflects the brand’s identity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies that align with company and store standards
• Execute planograms to optimize product placement and maximize sales with apparel and hardline merchandise
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management regarding merchandising needs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in different store settings
• Manage monthly scheduling to ensure store visits and merchandising deliverables are completed by assigned deadlines, demonstrating strong time management and accountability
• Submit store visit reports, including taking before and after photos and writing feedback, using our Winston App on a smart device
• Smartphones are required for reporting:
  • IOS: Use an iPhone 11 or newer
  • Android: Use a 2020 or newer device with an OS no more than four versions behind the latest
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds and stand for the entire shift

Experience & Skills

• Proven experience in retail merchandising or a related field is preferred
• Familiarity with planograms and visual directives is essential
• A keen eye for detail and creativity in presenting apparel and hardline merchandise
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
