Job summary

Mattel's American Girl Los Angeles flagship is seeking a Merchandise Handler to support daily store operations. You will stock shelves, unload trucks, and help maintain inventory while upholding visual standards and a safe, welcoming environment for guests.

In this role you’ll collaborate with the visual merchandising team, assist with floor moves, returns, and special projects, and adapt to open/close shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in retail or service industry preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must be friendly, approachable and willing to assist guests, especially children.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming stock shipments and maintain stockroom standards for merchandise placement, cleanliness, and safety.
• Pack and load trailer with returning merchandise (returns, rework, and doll hospital).
• Maintain stock on the retail floor and fulfill special requests from retail partners.
• Monitor stock levels and fill in as necessary, adhering to visual standards.
• Assist in executing retail operations, including floor moves, equipment maintenance, and collaboration with store personnel to ensure a safe environment for customers and staff.
• Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing tasks to meet business needs.
