Job summary

Michaels is seeking a dedicated Assistant Store Manager in Salisbury, NC to help lead a busy retail floor, uphold SOPs, and deliver exceptional customer service to every guest. You will coordinate floor operations, inventory, merchandising, and staff development, ensuring accuracy, loss prevention, and timely execution of promotions, planograms, and store standards on a daily basis.

This role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment and a willingness to train and coach team

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution processes, ensuring timely unloading and flow of merchandise to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Oversee Planogram execution and visual merchandising standards to company expectations.
• Support a clean, organized store environment, including backroom organization and sales floor recovery.
• Manage inventory control, ensuring product accuracy and efficient stock movement.
• Execute ad sets and price changes accurately and on time.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped efficiently.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with documentation accuracy.
• Manage store damages procedures and shrink reduction.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through TM onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner in maintaining Asset Protection practices.
