Job summary

TJ Maxx Grand Forks is seeking a Merchandise and Receiving Associate to support receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring a positive customer experience. You will help Associates process merchandise efficiently and contribute to a clean, organized store.

Qualifications

• Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Willingness to lift heavy objects with or without accommodation.
• Able to train others and work closely with peers and supervisors.
• 1 year of retail experience and at least 6 months of leadership exposure.

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
• Orchestrates truck delivery, prioritizing processing of merchandise onto the sales floor
• Trains and mentors Associates on merchandising and processing principles
• Ensures merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded
• Communicates with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to sales floor
• Ensures Associates complete tasks according to store plan; prioritizes as needed
• Monitors productivity of team and coaches as necessary
• Organizes and rotates back stock for easy replenishment
• Maintains merchandising philosophy and signage standards
• Maintains backroom cleanliness and recovery standards
• Ensures compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs
• Communicates priorities to management and Associates; provides progress updates
• Provides and accepts feedback; supports training needs
• Promotes safety awareness and a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned
