Job summary

Fresco y Mas in Homestead, FL is seeking a Meat Cutter to join our retail grocery team. You will cut meat to specs, package products, and assist customers with courteous service while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

Under supervision, you will receive deliveries, rotate stock, operate cutting equipment, and help keep the department efficient and welcoming. A strong work ethic, English proficiency, and the ability to pass pre-employment checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Pre-employment drug testing and background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and prompt service to customers.
• Prepare and package meat products and process orders to specifications.
• Receive and breakdown meat deliveries.
• Wrap, weigh and price products as needed.
• Cube, slice and grind meat as directed.
• Observe weights, measures, sanitation, and labeling laws.
• Operate department equipment and tools.
• Keep workspace clean and free of safety hazards.
• Stock, rotate and restock department items to control costs.
• Notify management of theft or policy violations.
