Job summary

Fresco y Mas is seeking a meat cutter for our retail grocery location. Under supervision, the meat cutter cuts meat to specifications for variety, size, quality and trim, while providing courteous service to customers.

You will receive deliveries, wrap and price products, stock the department, and maintain a clean, safe workspace in compliance with weights, measures and sanitation laws. Strong attention to portion accuracy and customer friendliness are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
• Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
• High integrity and reliability (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, prompt, and friendly service to customers.
• Prepare and package meat products to specifications and process various meat types.
• Receive and break down meat deliveries.
• Cut, trim, cube, slice and grind meat per company standards.
• Wrap, weigh and price products as needed.
• Observe weights, measures, sanitation, and safety requirements.
• Rotate stock and ensure freshness and date control.
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation; report hazards.
