Job summary

Hibbett Retail, Inc. in Pulaski, Tennessee, is seeking a Manager in Training to support the Store Manager with daily operations and guest service.

You will learn all departments, merchandising, and administrative tasks while promoting sales and promotions in a dynamic retail setting. This hourly, non-exempt role reports to the Store Manager and requires strong customer service, communication skills, and the ability to lead in the Manager’s absence.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-player with initiative and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish an action plan for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the Store Manager's absence.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure departmental responsibilities and standards are met.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure quality customer service is maintained.
• Perform general administrative duties and be trained in Store Manager's responsibilities.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and promote, sell services and merchandise.
