Job summary

The Hibbett I City Gear in Lewisburg, Tennessee is seeking a Manager in Training to assist the Store Manager with daily operations, sales, merchandising, and customer service. You will learn all product areas and step in for store leadership when the manager is absent.

In this role you will supervise staff, help plan actions to hit store goals, protect assets, manage inventory and performance metrics, and uphold all company policies.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with goals and profits.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assumes responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
• Be aware of inventory, sales statistics and expenses to ensure profitability in all departments.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are completed.
• Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure quality customer service is maintained.
• Produce and give extraordinary customer service, including assisting customers entering the store and during peak periods.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise provided by the store.
• Uphold all company policies, procedures and standards as listed in manuals and memos.
• Protect the company's assets and financial information by ensuring internal controls and reporting potential fraud.
