Job summary

Hibbett Retail, Inc. in Athens, Georgia is seeking a Manager in Training to assist the Store Manager with overall operations and administrative duties while learning each product area in the store. You will promote sales and provide outstanding customer service to help build lasting customer relationships.

The role includes stepping in for the Store Manager when needed and learning responsibilities across merchandising, scheduling, inventory, and staff supervision to drive store performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Plan and execute action plans to accomplish selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments as needed.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability in all departments.
• Direct staff to ensure each department's responsibilities and standards are completed.
• Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Assure quality customer service is maintained.
• Perform general administrative duties and learn Store Manager's responsibilities.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise; deliver extraordinary customer service per manuals.
• Uphold all company policies, procedures, and standards; maintain internal controls and report potential fraud risks.
