Thames Hospice is recruiting a Retail Manager for our Blackwater shop, a modern store selling pre-loved fashion and home furnishings. You will drive commercial performance, lead a small team and create on-trend displays in a charity retail environment, with a focus on excellent service and community impact.
You will work to maintain high standards, manage stock and visuals, and ensure a welcoming experience that reflects our mission and values. DBS checks apply due to volunteers in the shop.
\"Working with a great retail team\"
We are recruiting for a Retail Manager for our Blackwater shop which is a modern store full of pre-loved items.
So, yes, charity retail. It’s not what you think for a start. Not for us anyway.
Firstly, we only sell fashion and home furnishings that are right on trend and stores are set up to compete on the high street with anyone else. The role is just as commercial and just as challenging as anywhere and Retail Managers are expected to utilise all their previous visual and fashion experience to assist in setting up and running a commercially viable business.
You will be dedicated and of course working in retail is something you love but for you, there needs to be more to it. You’re visual and creative, excellent service and great standards are second nature and you want your store to be the best it can be, but you also want to give something back.
