Job summary

ALUMNUS LLC in Clifton, NJ is seeking a full-time boutique associate to help oversee day-to-day operations, sales, and customer experience.

You will open/close the store, greet customers, assist with styling, operate the POS, and help with inventory and displays while meeting daily sales goals. The role requires fashion-forward mindset, reliability, and weekend availability; compensation is $10–$20 per hour plus commission and bonuses.

This is more than a traditional retail position. You will work closely with management to help oversee the day-to-day operations, sales, customer experience, inventory, merchandising, and overall appearance of the boutique.. The ideal candidate is someone who can confidently interact with customers, keep the store running smoothly, and step into a leadership role when needed..

Responsibilities

• Assist with opening and closing the boutique.
• Support management with daily store operations.
• Greet customers and provide an elevated, personalized shopping experience.
• Assist customers with styling, sizing, and outfit recommendations.
• Operate the POS system and process purchases, returns, and exchanges.
• Help meet daily and monthly sales goals.
• Organize, restock, tag, and receive inventory.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor.
• Keep fitting rooms, displays, and the boutique clean and presentable.
• Assist with merchandising and creating eye-catching displays.
• Help monitor inventory and identify products that need to be restocked.
• Assist with training and supervising team members when needed.
• Help enforce store policies and maintain a professional environment.
• Assist with social media content, product launches, promotions, and events.
• Help prepare the boutique for special events, drops, and sales.
• Handle basic customer concerns professionally and elevate issues when necessary.
• Communicate daily updates, sales activity, inventory needs, and other important information to management.
• Take initiative to identify ways to improve the store and customer experience.

Schedule: Tuesday- Saturday 11am-7pm
