Description

The Retail Manager is responsible for effectively managing and training Retail Coverage Merchandisers (RCMs) in an assigned geography. Retail Managers will deliver strategic direction and vision on a day-to-day basis to RCMs to maximize sales opportunities for our clients. The Retail Manager will utilize Acosta’s systems and tools to maximize efficiency in scheduling and managing the retail selling team.

Responsibilities
  • Effectively train and develop a team of Retail Coverage Merchandisers to ensure alignment with overall objectives and in-store execution required by our clients. Focus areas include:
  • New item execution
  • Client shelving objectives
  • Merchandising objectives
  • Sales objectives
  • Develop team to identify best practices and sales opportunities in store.
  • Ensure quality execution by auditing work and providing feedback and coaching.
  • Lead by example through communication and rapport with retailers.
  • Collaborate with Retail Director to communicate and deliver initiatives to retail clients.
  • Partner across retail organization to communicate initiatives to Team Leaders, GMs, and Business Managers.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on retail systems; utilize Acosta University for training.
  • Develop and execute selling materials for retail meetings.
  • Conduct bi-quarterly evaluations and provide feedback for team development.
  • Meet physical requirements as listed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to see the big picture and develop action plans from diverse viewpoints.
  • Clear and succinct communicator, tailoring messages to the audience.
  • Promote continuous learning, feedback, and high performance.
  • Connect organizational goals with personal development.
  • Expertise in retail systems and tools to maximize effectiveness.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive for extended periods.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and sales skills.
  • Ability to make presentations and respond to questions.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies by all retail personnel.
  • Must be able to drive on behalf of Acosta.
