Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops offers an 11-week Retail Management Internship designed to provide hands-on experience in managing high-volume travel centers with food service and truck care. Interns learn facility operations, team leadership, and exceptional customer service while supporting drivers and travelers.

You’ll work with seasoned leaders to develop skills in sales, costs, and profitability in a fast-paced environment. This program sets interns on a path toward a rewarding career with Love’s.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a 2- or 4-year program in business, management, hospitality, or related field.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check; may include motor vehicle check/DOT.
• Interest in retail management and customer service.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, travel-center environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in hands-on training across store, fuel, food, and truck care operations.
• Develop business acumen by learning how to drive sales, manage costs, and support profitability.
• Learn team leadership, staffing, and employee development practices.
• Gain experience delivering exceptional customer service and resolving issues.
• Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and operational standards.
• Understand and help enforce safety, compliance, and company policies.
• Collaborate on a cross-functional project with interns and leaders across departments.
