Job summary

Qualifications

• 3-5 years store security experience in a business/retail environment.
• Experience working with a diverse workforce.
• Interest in the retail thrift business.
• Travel between stores and sites.
• Strong planning and implementation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Windows-based applications (MS Project, spreadsheets, databases, graphics).

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility for store security, employee security and retail customer support.
• Cash handling, inventory control, facilities and equipment damage, security access, fraud, and audits.
• Deterring shoplifting, vandalism, counterfeiting, robbery, burglary and store safety.
• Collaborates with store personnel to implement loss prevention programs.
• Conducts loss prevention meetings in stores as needed.
• Assists in implementing short-term and long-term goals, policies and procedures related to loss prevention.
• Anticipates problems and recommends appropriate solutions.
• Maintains confidentiality.
• Supports corporate culture by promoting open communication, accountability, diversity and consistent treatment.
