Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. in Plainview, NY is seeking a Loss Prevention Associate to support daily safety programs, maintain positive relationships with Store Management, and coordinate apprehensions within policy guidelines.

You will observe and deter theft, provide courteous customer service, document incidents, and participate in investigations and surveillance with store management. A flexible schedule and 0–2 years retail or security experience are acceptable.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and sound judgment are required.
• Basic computer skills and time management are essential.
• Investigative/analytical skills are needed for surveillance work.
• Able to respond to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Flexible schedule to support business needs.
• 0–2 years of retail or security experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Completes daily tasks for Store Loss Prevention and safety programs.
• Maintains positive relationships with Store Management.
• Performs apprehensions within established policies and guidelines.
• Communicates with store Associates on damage and shrink initiatives.
• Identifies and resolves internal and external theft.
• Observes, apprehends, and/or deters any acts of dishonesty.
• Participates in investigations and surveillance as assigned.
• Completes and distributes paperwork accurately and timely.
