Job summary

Chelsea Groton is seeking a Retail Lending Originator in Glastonbury, CT to help customers pursue their financial goals through in-person and digital channels. You will work to originate residential loans, qualify applicants, and coordinate with brokers and the Bank through closing.

The role emphasizes building relationships with real estate professionals, cross-selling bank products, and delivering excellent service across all touchpoints.

Chelsea Groton is looking to hire motivated and dynamic individual for our Retail Lending department. The Retail Lending Originator assists our customers in person, by phone, chat, and video. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and be a motivated and personable individual willing to help customers achieve their financial goals by providing outstanding service in a professional manner through our various digital channels. Responsibilities and Requirements vary based on job level. Expectations include:

• Works independently making sales calls on existing and potential customer referral sources. Establishes and maintains relationships with real estate brokers, attorneys, builders, and other related professionals in order to promote and develop Bank business and to provide information on any new programs or procedures implemented by the Bank.
• Meets with, takes applications and qualifies applicants both within and outside of the Bank. Serves as liaison between broker, borrower and Bank during application process and up through closing. Reviews processes to generate business and ways to render support between departments.
• Originates residential loan products to meet sales and service goals. Cross-sells the Banks various services whenever possible. Provides quality customer service throughout the mortgage origination process.
• Promotes the Bank’s products and services and maintains active participation in community affairs. Conducts periodic educational seminars for potential borrowers and brokers.
