Job summary

Mint Cannabis is seeking a Retail Lead at our St Peters, MO location. The role extends the store manager’s responsibilities, overseeing the sales floor and shift team, while providing operational support from discount codes to lunch coverage.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in cannabis, strong leadership experience with large teams, and a sales-oriented mindset to improve metrics and guest experience on busy shifts.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in the cannabis industry.
• Leadership background, for large teams; cannabis leadership a plus.
• Experience in sales preferred.
• Must be 21+ and possess (or be able to obtain) a Facility Agent Card.

Responsibilities

• Daily leadership: oversee 25+ team members, upselling, daily inventory responsibilities, and guest experience.
• Sales coaching: provide feedback to the team and push toward improved location metrics.
• Inventory control: coach staff to scan out products and reduce shrinkage.
• Floor operations: manage store openings/closings, cash reconciliation, and POS systems.
• Compliance: understand Missouri requirements to confidently navigate inspections and reduce deficiencies.

Retail Lead

FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: 150 Mid Rivers Mall Circle, St Peters, MO 63376

Pay Range: $45,760.00

Position Summary:

The retail lead's primary responsibility is to be an operational extension to the store manager. Retail leads are responsible for controlling the sales floor flow, ensuring guests are being tended to promptly, team members are fulfilling their responsibilities, and providing operational support from discount codes to lunch coverage. The retail lead would be responsible for overseeing their shift team members and the sales floor operational efficiencies while on shift.

Responsibilities:

• Daily tasks: The exact work you do.
  • Leadership Responsibilities: Ensuring 25+ Team members are upselling, completing daily inventory responsibilities, and providing a guest experience.
  • Sales Expertise: Responsible for coaching and giving sales feedback to the team on their shift, while also encouraging the team to improve their metrics for their location.
  • Inventory Control: Coaching team members to appropriately scan out products to help reduce shrinkage
  • Floor Operations: Manage daily store openings and closings, cash reconciliation, and point-of-sale (POS) systems, discount codes.
  • Compliance: Understanding Missouri compliance requirements to confidently walk through state inspections, reducing deficiencies.
• Goals: The results you must reach.
  • Improving sales consistently month over month.
  • Team education on expected sales metrics.
  • Reducing aging and expiring products.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Budtenders
• BOH Clerks
• Inventory Team Member

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting, standing, walking, and climbing for long periods of time.

Work Environment:

• The environment can be loud
• Atmosphere & Pace: Fast-paced and energetic. The floor features specialized product displays (flower, edibles, concentrates). Staff must be adaptable to busy rushes, as wait times and long lines are common during peak hours
